Amgen Tour of California
May 16 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The 2019 Amgen Tour of California is the longest and most challenging in its 14-year history. Throughout seven stages over seven days (May 12-18), the world’s top professional cyclists contest mountain roads, highways, and coastlines from Sacramento to Pasadena. The 773-mile course through 13 host cities scales more than 68,000 feet of elevation gain and 25 King of the Mountain (KOM) climbs, the most in race history, with a fan-favorite Mt. Baldy summit finish.
Also the longest in its history, the women’s race (empowered with SRAM) runs concurrently from May 16 to 18, on many of the same routes as the men’s course. The 177.8-mile, three-stage road race sees the athletes climb more than 20,800 feet, including 8 QOMs.
Watch the men’s stage 5 and women’s stage 1 ride through Santa Barbara County on May 16.
