UCSB Arts & Lectures presents Montreal’s award-winning cirque troupe The 7 Fingers performing Réversible, its latest creation featuring astonishing acrobatics, aerial stunts, dynamic dance and playful and poignant storytelling on Thur., Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Granada Theatre.
For Réversible, the company’s cast members researched generations of family history, interviewing grandparents and great-grandparents about their aspirations, struggles and secrets. The artists build an intergenerational bridge between past and present, then and now. “The collective virtuosity of this troupe is something to see—and, crucially, to feel” (The Boston Globe).
With the 7 Fingers’ Réversible, be prepared for the best in contemporary circus: moments of pure grace yielding to rushes of adrenalin, as a cast of multi-talented performers travel through time and space. Be part of a vibrant journey that will give you goose bumps; peek through the keyhole at a Reversible world, where everyday life is turned upside down into new spectacular, universes filled with beauty, emotion and —yes—hope.
