The warm breeze of a sunny day, the crash of a wave on the sand, the feeling of bare feet on soft grass… even the smallest glimpse of nature is enough to put one at ease. As Ralph Waldo Emerson says, “In the presence of nature, a wild delight runs through the man, in spite of real sorrows.” Through art, education, and field experiences, The Wildling Museum of Art & Nature is committed to preserving the beauty of nature and its crucial role in human happiness.
From October 3, 2018 through February 4, 2019, The Wildling Museum is producing their newest display, “Nature Abstracted,” which features over 25 pieces of nature-inspired artworks from members of Santa Barbara’s own prestigious Abstract Art Collective. The submissions will be judged by esteemed artist, curator, and professor, Nathan Huff as well as the Wildling Museum’s very own executive director, Stacey Otte-Demangate.
Reconnect and refresh yourself with nature at “Nature Abstracted” at the opening reception on October 20 from 3-5 p.m. at The Wildling Museum of Art & Nature (1511 Mission Dr., Solvang) Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 805/686-8315.
