Offering gourmet meals, seasonal produce, and savory meats and seafood, Gelson’s Market is more like your grandma’s kitchen than your average grocery store. As if their endless selection of fresh goods wasn’t enough, last year, Gelson’s curated their first very own collection of fine wines. The collection consisted of five Santa Barbara county reds and one white wine crafted by Doug Margerum, gifted winemaker and Wine Spectator Grand Award winner.
To celebrate the one year anniversary of this fine wine collection, Gelson’s is introducing three more divine additions. This year, Gelson’s has partnered with Julien Fayard, France native and Wine Spectrum’s 2016 Winemaker of the Year. “It is my mission to produce exceptional wines, and that striving for excellence in all areas resonates with the long history of Gelson’s,” says Fayard.
On Saturday, September 29, Gelson’s is offering free samples of Fayard’s Provençal-style Rosé and Margerum’s Cabernet Sauvignon and white Rhône. Visit Gelson’s (3305 State St., Santa Barbara) and uncork their finest collection.
