Alan Kozlowski’s love for music and his passion for the visual arts led him on many creative adventures throughout his career, including working as a producer, director, cinematographer and photographer. Kozlowski was also at the forefront of innovation in filmmaking when he co-founded Pacific Ocean Post, a film and television post-production studio in Santa Monica. With his studio he paved the way to the future with the integration of digital technology and visual expression.
Kozlowski’s artistic vision has garnered extensive recognition since his start during the 1970s. He has worked with a diverse range of artists including Ravi Shankar, Lionel Richie and Jeff Bridges, and has traveled extensively through Tibet, Nepal and India. His travels have led to him to create a stunning visual archive.
The Santa Barbara Wine Collective will host Alan Kozlowski’s show, “Finding the Moment,” including his collection of photography featuring iconic images from the rock & roll world. The Santa Barbara Wine Collective is a wine tasting room located on the Urban Wine Trail of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Featuring wines from different producers, guests will be able to taste and purchase a variety of elegant wines.
The evening will mark Kozlowski’s 70th birthday, which will be celebrated with live performances by musical artists Glen Phillips, Steve Postell, and the Chris Pelonis Band along with a surprise special guest. Additionally, Chef Daniel Palaima, of the upcoming and much anticipated restaurant Tyger Tyger, will showcase menu items from his coastal southeast Asian menu available for purchase from the Helena Avenue Bakery counter.
The show will be held on Tuesday, September 11 from 5 – 7 p.m. with music from 7 – 9 p.m. The event is free to the public and will be held at The Santa Barbara Wine Collective, located on 131 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara.
