With the total solar eclipse last summer and Mercury in retrograde this summer, space is becoming more and more mystifying. Alma Rosa Winery and Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit are offering a unique opportunity for those intrigued by the great unknown or simply intrigued by a good glass of wine.
On Saturday, August 25, Alma Rosa Winery (181 Industrial Way C, Buellton) and Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit host “Planets and Pinot.” Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Alma Rosa will be serving their finest wines and appetizers in their newly refurbished ranch house nestled in the Santa Rita Hills. As night falls, guests will venture to Alma Rosa’s newest estate vineyard, Caracole Vineyard, to get a glimpse of the galaxy through Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit’s most powerful telescopes.
Tickets include exquisite wine, delicious appetizers, and mesmerizing views of space. For ticket sales and additional information, please visit www.almarosawinery.com/Events/Planets-and-Pinot.
