Soak up the sun with a glass of wine in hand, or take a vineyard tour around a 30-acre estate. Both choices will be a wine enthusiasts’ dream come true on Wednesday, August 22, when the Parrish Family Vineyard opens a brand new winery and tasting room.
“My great-grandfather was one of the first people to plant grapes in the Atascadero area and opening this winery and tasting room on our family vineyard is a dream that’s been 90 years and four generations in the making,” says David Parrish, owner and winemaker.
Before this new opening, there was solely a tasting room in downtown Paso Robles. Now, guests will be able to drink just steps away from where the Parrish Family Vineyard wine is created.
Displaying their prize winning wine selection such as the 2016 Chardonnay and the 2014 Zinfandel, chocolate pairings and cheese plates will also be available to heighten the wine tasting experience.
“We are excited to offer a variety of experiences and educational opportunities at the winery and also out in the vineyard,” says Cecily Parrish Ray, general manager. “We created a place where people can be inspired and informed about wine, our incredible land and discover their own palates through a range of flights and pairings.”
Tastings will be available outside alongside the vineyard’s scenic views, and inside both in private spaces and communal tables.
Located at 3590 Adelaida Rd. in Paso Robles, the tasting room is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
