A little birdy told me that the Eyes in the Sky Program needs volunteers!
The educational program, under the wing of Santa Barbara Audubon, is looking for raptor handlers, website wranglers, grant go-getters, and others who care about nature and birds.
Volunteers first learn about the seven raptors currently in the aviary, located in the backyard of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, before being fully trained to work with the birds. All of the birds have been injured or are unable to return to the wild.
Volunteer to take our feathered friends out of their aviaries for exercise, clean their aviaries, feed the birds and show them you care!
Handlers must be 18 years old and able to commit to one year at two to four hours a week. Donations and in-kind support are always welcome. To apply flock to http://www.eyesinthesky.org/support/volunteer-application.
