Join the Blue Sky Center team in celebrating the completion of their first artist residency program in the Cuyama Valley. The opening reception is at Art from Scrap Gallery located at 302 E. Cota St. on Thursday, July 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit runs through September 30.

This program is supported by the Squire Foundation, Santa Barbara County Department of Arts & Culture, and in collaboration with Explore Ecology and the Art From Scrap Creative ReUse Store. Five artist teams were hosted for five days in the five Shelton Huts on the Blue Sky Center campus. The teams created encouraging artwork made in, with, and about the Cuyama Valley communities.

Only a two-hour drive north of Los Padres National Forest, the Cuyama Valley has three unincorporated town sites and its own school district in the northeast corner of Santa Barbara County.
