Presqu’ile Winery, the contemporary-styled minimalist estate in the hills of Santa Maria, presents Profound and Rare: An Evening of Library Wine on Saturday, July 7, at 6:30 p.m. Matt and Madison Murphy, Presqu’ile’s founders, will be leading a walk-around tasting in the winery.
The adventure focuses on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from their 2009, 2010, and 2011 vintages; learning about the evolution of Presqu’ile wines, the character of their vintages, and suggested drinking windows from the point-of-view of the owners.
“The wines are an exploration of the Santa Maria Valley, with the exception of the 2009 Rim Rock from Nipomo, an incredible site and a very rare bottling (the vineyard is just two acres),” states Estates Manager Cameron Porter. “These wines are built to age and these vintages are in a place where you’re beginning to see why Presqu’ile values the library wines with their spice, earth, seamless integration of whole cluster, and graceful texture.”
In addition, Danior Kitchen will prepare a selection of small bites to pair with, and showcase, the delicate grace of the library selections.
Profound and Rare event is open to the public, but space is limited. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Presqu’ile Ticketing. For more information, call Presqu’ile Winery at 805/937-8110, email email@example.com or visit www.presquilewine.com.
