Hosted by the Santa Barbara Blues Society (the oldest existing U.S. blues society), Café R&B is set to perform at the Carrillo Recreation Center, 100 E. Carrillo St., Santa Barbara, on Saturday, May 19. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Café R&B is led by singer Roach and Guitarist Byl, and are known for their dynamic and high-energy performances. They combine classic Chicago blues with updated rhythm-and-blues. They’ve been on a seven-year hiatus, so it’s good to have them back!
Opening act will be Santa Barbara’s own solo acoustic bluesman, Jeff Joad, “Son of the Mississippi Delta blues.”
