Come celebrate Earth Day April 21st at Deckers Brand Headquarters (250 Coromar Dr., Goleta) at Santa Barbara Channelkeeper’s 18th Annual Blue Water Ball.
The fundraising gala brings together all different communities—from surfers and sailors to swimmers and scientists—to celebrate Chanelkeeper’s accomplishments protecting and restoring the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds. The event will provide an evening of live music and dancing, along with a silent auction, gourmet dinner and keynote address by conservationist and filmmaker, Mimi Armstrong deGruy.
deGruy is a Santa Barbara documentary filmmaker who has produced award winning television for broadcasters such as National Geographic and the BBC. Those in attendance at Blue Water Ball will have the opportunity to view sneak peaks of her latest work, Diving Deep, a documentary to be released this summer celebrating her husband (Mike deGruy) in his mission to save our oceans.
The Blue Water Ball provides Santa Barbara Channelkeeper with crucial funds that help protect our community’s water resources and keep Santa Barbara one of the most beautiful coastal communities on the globe. The gala’s silent auction will contain an assortment of tempting items, including a selection of merchandise from companies such as Patagonia and GoPro.
