The Young Adult Division (YAD) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara is hosting its 11th Annual Vodka Holiday Party on Saturday, December 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Bobcat Room (15 W. Ortega St.).
With great music, delicious latkes and a fantastic crowd, YAD will celebrate 11 amazing years of bringing Jewish young adults together for Chanukah, the Festival of Lights. Admission to the event includes one free drink and one dollar off drinks thereafter with a wristband, access to the dreidel Olympics and a chance to win a contest with eight great prizes. After the event, guests can move to the Wildcat Lounge to dance the night away.
The funds from the admission sales go back into supporting the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara’s senior services, counseling, volunteer programs, community education and rescue and relief. These programs are open to all people regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or gender.
Vodka Latke is the largest young adult holiday party on the Central Coast. This year they expect an attendance of 150 or more. Vodka Latke brings a sense of comfort, tradition and community to many young adults who are new to the area or who may be far away from family for the holidays. The evening provides an accepting space during the holiday season.
