Summer is always a wonderful time in Santa Barbara County, but warm autumn nights in Los Olivos are glorious. To celebrate autumn’s arrival, find some friends and bundle up at The Bear and Star (2860 Grand Avenue, Los Olivos) for their Movie Night Series.

The Bear and Star is presenting their Movie Nights in conjunction with the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn. The line-up features classic star-studded films—Dances with Wolves, Forrest Gump, The Man from Snowy River, True Grit and Davy Crockett, starring the beloved Fess Parker.

Every Thursday night The Bear and Star film series takes place outside on the Garden Patio. Guests relax under the stars and enjoy the films on a 14-foot screen with digital surround sound.

It is a perfect opportunity to cozy up in blankets and snack on complimentary popcorn provided by the restaurant. The complete menu from The Bear and Star is served at the bar throughout the evening.

Movie Nights continue through November 17 with plans to extend through to the winter season. It’s an ideal way to welcome the colder months to come! Movies are screened from 7-9 p.m. on Thursdays and are free to the public.

October 19–Dances With Wolves

October 26–Forrest Gump

November 2–The Man from Snowy River

November 9–True Grit

November 16–Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier

Seating is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Low profile chairs are welcome. For more information about the film series or other events, visit The Bear and Star’s website or call 805/686-1359.
