Posted on Sep 6 by SEASONS Magazine

Come support and celebrate the local community at the Fourth Annual San Marcos High School Royal Gala! This evening affair benefits educational programs and campus improvements at San Marcos High School, and features dinner, dancing and an auction at the beautiful Fess Parker Resort.

The Royal Pride Foundation is honoring three community leaders who have supported San Marcos High School and made significant contributions to the community. San Marcos teacher, Jamie DeVries, is receiving the Citizenship Award for his creation of the nonprofit, Kids Helping Kids, which has raised over $2 million for children in need. Deckers Outdoor Corporation is receiving the Community Leadership Award for ongoing contributions to the school and other nonprofits, and the Marquis Family is receiving the Philanthropy Award as recognition for generous contributions and incredible leadership at the school.

The Gala is Friday, October 6 from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. and proceeds from this event help fund several programs and campus groups. These include the athletics program, AVID, Entrepreneurship Academy, Health Careers Academy, Performing Arts, Parents Teacher Student Association, and Kids Helping Kids.
