The iconic folk singer/songwriter Arlo Guthrie comes to the Lobero Theatre. Since the 1960s, Guthrie has spent his life in a state of perpetual tour. His songs, which comment on social injustice, present humble emotion and evoke visions of everyday American life, have been the source of much love from fans of folk and Americana alike. Following his sold out Alice’s Restaurant 50th Anniversary Tour, announced in 2015, Guthrie again hits the road in 2017. This year’s tour, Running Down the Road, promises to be a flashback-inducing, mind-expanding adventure showcasing Guthrie’s music from 1969 onward. Running Down the Road marks a special occasion for Guthrie and his fans alike, as the often-accompanied band Shenandoah assembles to rejoin Guthrie.
Guthrie will perform at the Lobero Theatre (33 E. Canon Perdido St.) April 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at Lobero Theatre’s website, or by calling their box office at 805/963-0761.
