Unity Shoppe celebrates 100 years of community service with a “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” themed show on Wednesday, September 7 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Granada Theatre (1214 State St).

With Kenny Loggins as one of the hosts, this celebratory birthday show commemorates the community effort of celebrities, businesses, churches, schools and families that help Unity provide better and more consistent support services throughout the county.

Unity Shoppe aids many low-income, hard-working individuals who have fragile family finances as a result of a lost job or an ill family member. Unity provides eight year-round programs that serve almost 20,000 low-income clients, providing an immediate and efficient method to distribute work and school clothing, school supplies and food.

Since 1917, Unity has prided itself on creating a more stable and secure community with “neighbors helping neighbors.” With a job training program, long-term disaster relief and volunteer/internship opportunities, the corporation help families recover, find better paying jobs and move beyond the need for assistance.

For tickets visit granadasb.org or call the Granada box office at 805/899-2222.
