The Santa Barbara Wine Collective kicks off a monthly “Saturday Pop-Up Brunch” series on May 16 featuring guests from Santa Barbara County. Each month, a local guest chef will present an original menu to be paired with a selection of hand-picked wines from the Santa Barbara Wine Collective library, including wines from Collective members Babcock, Ca’Del Grevino, Fess Parker, Qupé, Sandhi and the Pairing.
This month, Chef Jake O. Francis of the Valley Piggery in Santa Ynez will create a spectacular menu. Chef Francis is a Central Coast transplant having cooked in restaurants in Seattle, New York City and Athens, Georgia. Francis cooks, caters and roasts up and down the Central Coast, in addition to selling fresh pork and giving pig butchery workshops. For information about the Valley Piggery, visit valleypiggery.com.
