Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company opened its first brewery and taproom only five years ago in Buellton, California. Starting out as a small business, the brewing company quickly grew, expanding with two more taprooms in Santa Barbara and Los Olivos. This past November, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company opened another taproom in Santa Maria, California, increasing its number of taprooms to four.
The taproom opens early at 10 a.m. each Sunday for its weekly special event called “Beerunch,” during which the business serves breakfast burritos along with its refreshing beer cocktail list. The list includes popular cocktails with twists, such as the “Beer Mary,” a Bloody Mary made with beer, and the “Hopped-Mosa,” a mimosa also substituted with beer. The taproom also serves Beer Floats and Root Beer Floats for those with more of a sweet tooth.
Now that Figueroa Mountain Brewery has opened in its town, Santa Maria’s nightlife has expanded. The brewery has a variety of daily entertainment and even puts on live music every Friday and Saturday night. However, the taproom extends the fun events to the weekdays too. On Mondays, military servicemen and women can purchase pints of beer for $4 each all day long. (They can also get 10% off their order any time.) Festivities on Tuesdays are twofold: Industry Night, an event geared toward workers in the hospitality industry, and “Taco Tuesday,” where people get two dollars off the Tri-Tip Tacos. Wednesdays feature both a game night with board games and the Benefit Taphandle Night, during which profits made from a specific beer go towards helping a local nonprofit or charity. Thursdays, College Nights, are for local students aged 21 and older who can buy pints for $4.
The Santa Maria-based taproom is open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.–11 p.m. Please visit its website here for more information or click here to learn about the Davy Brown Mug Club and benefits of being a member.
