UCSB Arts & Lectures is set to host Cirque Mechanics, a steampunk-inspired circus fueled by people and pedals. This imaginative show was created by former Cirque du Soleil member Chris Lashua, a BMX rider, acrobat and master of mechanics. His passions are evident in this unique performance, which combines manpower and machinery in a dazzling display. Cirque Mechanics is a dizzying whirl of cyclists, acrobats and one-of-a-kind machines, like the mysterious, massive Gantry Bike.
Come discover it for yourself next Sunday, March 8, at UCSB's Campbell Hall. The show runs at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.
