On Saturday, March 21, fine art photographer Lindsey Ross will hold the special event La Femme Photographique, a day of women's only, nude, portrait photography sessions. This event will take place at the Sunpotion Warehouse at 430 E. Guitirrez St.
In collaboration with Nitsa Citrine, Ross will create a safe, intimate atmosphere for clients to be photographed nude or in their favorite lingerie or finery. The image taken during their session will then be varnished and the client will be able to take it home.
Ross will use the late 19th century wet plate collodion process to create portraits of her clients. The images will be made on glass or metal, depending on the clients' preferences. The process creates a one-of-a-kind direct, positive image that will never be digitized or retouched. Sizes of plates range from 3x4in to 8x10in. Complimentary teas and treats will be served during the event. To schedule an appointment, email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 805/453-6927.
