Brewer-Clifton Winery Partners with Ken Fredrickson for Winery Expansion

Posted on Mar 1 by SEASONS Magazine

Winemakers Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton of Brewer-Clifton Winery recently annouced their new partnership with an investment group led by master sommelier Ken Fredrickson

Brewer and Clifton founded the winery in 1996 with a production of only 240 cases and quickly grew to producing 10,000 cases from their 100% estate vineyard holdings in the gorgeous Santa Rita Hills apellation. The recent winery expansion is a “fantastic opportunity to take our wines to their full potential! Literally on all levels, from farming, production, to distribution, we have all the tools necessary to accelerate our business operation. I've never been more excited about the possibilities ahead," says Clifton.

The founders will remain co-winemakers alongside sales and marketing director Chrystal Clifton, and will mantain their minority ownership interests. The partnership will allow Clifton and Brewer to continue their current roles in support of the business, further estate vineyard development, and a stronger national sales and marketing effort. “I’m so pleased to partner with Greg and Steve,” said Fredrickson. “As Brewer-Clifton nears a 20-year anniversary, it’s safe to say they have built an incredible platform for growth, and I look forward to expanding the business in measured and sustainable ways.”
