On July 16, Solvang’s “Third Wednesday” involves music, food, and entertainment  for the whole family.

The town celebrates summer in style with a musical cake walk in Solvang Park from 4:30-5 p.m., organized by the Santa Ynez Valley High School cheer squad. Fans of musical chairs can put their skills to the test in hopes of winning a sweet treat from one of Solvang’s local bakeries.

From 5-8 p.m., local classic rock band Mojo performs in Solvang Park following the cake walk. Bring out the picnic blankets and relax to mash-ups of favorite blues, rock, and even reggae tunes. For those not wanting to schlep food around, Cecco Ristorante will be selling its famous pizzas.

Make time for the Wine & Beer Walk from 3-7 p.m. and pick five establishments to taste from. And finally, The Artistic Pony Studio (446 First St.) is partnering with Diane Curriden of Valley Alternative Healing for a Solvang Third Wednesday “Pony Trek”.
