On May 17 from noon – 5 p.m. a workshop on the evolution of the nervous system called “Remembering Flow: Balancing the Nervous System in Movement” will be presented with professor of dance Andrea Olson at the HSSB Ballet Studio at UCSB. This workshop teaches its participants on movement as a medium to know oneself, as well as the rest of the world.

This workshop focuses specifically on Somatics, which is an emerging field of research and still waiting for definition. It deals with the affect of consciousness on the physical self. It’s a unique combination of philosophy and kinesiology that brings an awareness to the relationship between the mind and the body.

For more information call 805/893-3022 or contact David Hurwith by email at David@ritualandresearch.org.  Register for the workshop here.
