“Drift and Fixation” is a new group exhibition coming to the Arts Fund Gallery on April 12. The exhibition will run until May 24. The exhibition, inspired by a contemporary reflection of the Romanticism and Neo-Romanticism movements in art, is curated by Kai Tepper and Marcello Ricci. “Drift and Fixation” also features local emerging artists, some of whom are currently enrolled at the University of California Santa Barbara.
The artists explore romanticized perceptions of organic and synthetic environments through modern technological processes and the use of man-made and found objects. Featured artists include Holly Avery, Patrick Gilbert, Adam Jahnke, Clare Little, Megan Mueller, Chelsea Padgett, Maria Rendon, Sommer Roman and Luis Alberto Velazquez.
