Physicist and best-selling author Lisa Randall will be at Campbell Hall presenting her lecture titled Knocking on Heaven’s Door: How Physics and Scientific Thinking Illuminate the Universe and the Modern World, presented by UCSB Arts & Lectures on Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m.
Randall is a highly acclaimed and influential theoretical physicist whose books include Warped Passages (2005), Knocking on Heaven’s Door (2011) and Higgs Discovery: The Power of Empty Space (2013). Randall will discuss the latest developments in physics and how they have the potential to alter everyone’s perception and understanding of the world today. Evolution, fundamental forces, and the Earth’s makeup will all be confronted. Randall’s work on particle physics has made her an award winning scientist and author.
