Vans Promotes Student Art Competition

Posted on Feb 1 by Seasons Intern

Vans shoe and clothing company invites students to participate in their Vans Custom Culture art design competition to promote student creativity and to support arts education around the country.

Starting now through February 14, high school art teachers can register their students for the 2014 competition on the Vans Custom Culture website. Students will then have the task of designing four pairs of Vans shoes to depict the four themes of action sports, art, music, and local flavor. Vans employees will narrow down the entries to the top 50. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for their favorites April 25-May 12. The top five students and their schools will travel to New York City where celebrity judges will determine the final winner whose school will receive $50,000 from Vans to support art education.
