Free Screening of Film on Cyberbullying on Monday Night

Posted on Dec 7 by Leslie Dinaberg

The film SUBMIT the Documentary explores the complicated dynamics behind the epidemic of cyberbullying. Santa Barbara High School’s PTA invites the community to a free screening in the Santa Barbara High theatre (700 E. Anapamu St.) at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 9.

The screening is followed by a panel discussion and Q&A facilitated by Joe Bruzzese, Sprigeo CEO & Founder. Sprigeo is a Santa Barbara-based company that has developed an online reporting system (used both locally and nationally) to empower all kids—the bystanders and the targets—by providing a simple and anonymous way to report bullying and other safety incidents.

The panel includes Santa Barbara High Assistant Principal Gabriel Sandoval, and high school students involved in bullying prevention. All concerned parents, teachers, students, and community members are encouraged to join in the conversation. For more information, email SBHSPTSA@gmail.com or team@sprigeo.com.
