1% For the Planet Hosts Central Coast Meet-Up

Interested in saving the environment? 1% For the Planet (1% FTP) is hosting a night to connect with the leaders of companies and nonprofit organizations. Come and join 1% FTP,  LoaCom and Santa Barbara Green Drinks to enjoy an evening of great conversations and connections on November 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at workzones (351 Paseo Nuevo, 2nd Floor).

Bring friends to enjoy complimentary wine and appetizers while connecting with 1% FTP’s newest Central Coast members, including Santa Barbara-based Horny Toad and Ventura-based Vapur. Network with long-time members and nonprofit partners to learn about strategic philanthropy.

1% FTP is an organization that builds, supports and activates an alliance of businesses that are committed to protecting the planet. Its member companies donate 1% of their net sales to organizations that work to enhance the environment and to make positive change throughout the world. 1% FTP has had over $100 million donated to sustainability and conservation efforts. This year marks its 10 year anniversary. Local nonprofit groups that have played a significant role include Community Environmental Council (CEC), Environmental Defense Center (EDC), Heal the Ocean and The Orfalea Foundation.
