It’s getting hot, hot, hot, and these Santa Barbara gastronomists want to help you keep your cool with their refreshing organic noshes.

Hydrate with a Juice Ranch freshly cold-pressed locally sourced organic elixir (33 Parker Way, 805/845-4657). Each reusable glass bottle of vibrant liquid contains tons of vitamins and antioxidants, with offerings tailored to the season’s produce. Try Johnny 5 Alive with apple, lemon, ginger and cayenne for a pick-me-up-and-wake-me-up anytime of day or La Ensalada for some high-power veggie vites. For a quick jolt of juice, throw back a shot of wheatgrass, barley, blue-green algae or Immunity Please.

Looking for something a bit colder? Rori’s Artisanal Creamery sources Straus Family Creamery organic milk, cream and eggs to craft flavors such as root beer float, lemon curd, peanut butter and jelly and malted milk ball (1024-D Coast Village Rd. 805/770-2266). Head to the Montecito shop for ice cream on-the-go, ice cream sandwiches and mason-jar scoops, or buy by the pint at several markets in town, always made in small batches for optimum flavor.
