If you’re looking to eat delicious seafood without breaking the bank, we’ve found the place for you: Killer Shrimp, Marina del Rey‘s favorite restaurant famous for its carefully guarded secret Killer Shrimp recipe, is opening a second location in Santa Barbara on July 27. As “the perfect restaurant for bringing the whole family out for surf ‘n’ turf, drinks and dessert without the bill coming to an offensive number,” you’ll want to be sure to check out the, uh, killer meals and deals for yourself.
Aside from the must-have $9.95 Original Killer Shrimp Monday special, with a spicy sauce that simmers for ten hours and is made from a secret combination of spices kept in a room that only the owners and one other person have access to, Killer Shrimp also serves steak, salad, soup and other types of seafood, all the while lending a special emphasis on local and seasonal dishes. Be sure to save some room for dessert too, though—you won’t want to miss the Killer Shrimp Sweet Potato Pecan Pie served with Chantilly Cream. Alternatively, you can also enjoy a daily Happy Hour in the dining room from 10 p.m.–12 a.m. and at the bar from 3 p.m.–12 a.m., with live music and dancing from Thursday to Saturday night.
Killer Shrimp will be located at 416 State St. For more information or to make a reservation, please call 805/284-9262.
