Westmont English professor and Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Paul Willis will host this winter reading featuring poets Kyli Sessions, Kurt Brown and Catherine Abbey Hodges, one of the last events finishing off his reign as Santa Barbara’s poetry king. Sessions, one of the visiting poets, is traveling from Seattle to share a compilation of poems from her literary journal “The Talking Brain.” This aspiring poet not only studies English inside the classroom at Westmont, but has also shared her talents with San Francisco’s 826 National, a non-profit integrating creative writing into urban education, as well as with youth right here in Santa Barbara.

Come on down to Contemporary Arts Forum, 653 Paseo Nuevo to hear more from these literary artists this Saturday.
