In his groundbreaking work, Everybody Lies: Big Data, New Data, and What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who You Really Are, Harvard-trained economist, former Google data scientist and New York Times writer Seth Stephens-Davidowitz argues that much of what we thought about people has been dead wrong. The reason? People lie, to friends, lovers, doctors, surveys – and themselves. For his book Everybody Lies, Stephens-Davidowitz analyzed the traces of information that billions of people leave on Google, social media, dating and even pornography sites, using the digital goldmine to learn what people really think, what they really want and what they really do.

On Tuesday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m., Stepens-Davidowitz speaks at Campbell Hall and shares his findings that will make you think.
