Although Santa Barbara seems to have cooled down this week, the forecast for this weekend is sunny with a chance of… volleyballs? This weekend, September 7-9, West Beach will be taken over by diving, spiking and serving athletes competing for one of 
volleyball’s most esteemed titles: AVP Champions.
Just off the plane from London, many of America’s Olympic volleyball superstars— and some hoping to challenge the nation’s elite—will grace the Santa Barbara coast. Twenty-four men and twenty-four women will compete in pool play on Friday and Saturday, with a women’s final match on Sunday at 10 a.m. and men’s finals at approximately 11:30 a.m.
