With Valentine’s Day approaching, we can be sure of one thing: love is in the air! And if it’s not there, then it’s certainly in the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menus from some of Santa Barbara’s finest restaurants, in the spa at the Bacara or in the two-hour Partner for Yoga Romance with Alchemy Arts Center.
Boathouse at Hendry’s Beach, Arlington Tavern, bouchon, Cielito Restaurant & Taqueria, Downey’s, Maggie’s at State and A, Wine Cask and Bella Vista have all prepared Valentine’s Day specials to truly fall in love with.
For Californian cuisine, bouchon, Downey’s, Wine Cask and Bella Vista have created special menus for this yearly occasion. bouchon has incorporated the best of their original menu into a three-course meal for $75/person; the 14-table intimate space at Downey’s is set to prepare four courses at $89/person; Wine Cask is offering three courses with ten choices available for entrées, a romantic guitarist in their semi-private space and open seating at Intermezzo Bar/Café; and lastly, Bella Vista at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore is set to prepare four gourmet courses topped with a glass of champagne for $95/person.
In the search of American dining, we recommend Arlington Tavern. Prepared for the 14th is a three-course menu with seven choices for both starters and main courses, followed by four choices for dessert at $65/person. To enjoy the meal with their array of fine champagne, beer or wine, guests can indulge at $85/person.
Cielito Restaurant & Taqueria and Maggie’s at State and A offer wonderful alternatives to Californian and American. Cielito has prepared a decadent four-course menu, with the first three courses offering four options and finishing with mouth-watering Opera Cake for dessert. The French/American elegant dining at Maggie’s at State and A has prepared a four-course prix-fixe meal for the special night.
Lastly, we can’t leave out the delicious seafood enjoyed at Boathouse at Hendry’s Beach, where a special Valentine’s Day dessert awaits you.
Really setting the mood for Valentine’s Day is who other but Bacara Resort & Spa. The lavish resort has prepared special Valentine’s Day festivities including rose-infused facials, guided meditation and “romance ready” guest rooms. For dinner, couples can indulge in a four-course meal prepared by Chef Johan Denizot alongside the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean inside Miró. The meal will highlight Santa Barbara’s finest regional ingredients, and couples can choose to enjoy dinner with wine pairings from the resort’s 12,000-bottle wine cellar.
For the extra touch, the Sweet Red Rose Decadent Facial—featuring a sweet red rose cleanser, tonic and two nourishing masks—will leave couples feeling fresh and rejuvenated before coordinating sunset yoga on “The Bluff” or unwinding to guided meditation. After these festivities, couples can retire to their “romance ready” room where prearranged champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries and flowers await.
