Fourteen faculty members as SBCC get a chance in the spotlight this month— but not the light in front of their classrooms.
The Santa Barbara City College Art Faculty will have their own personal works on display from August 31 to September 28 in the Atkinson Gallery. These artists are both regionally and internationally known, working with several different medias and styles for the Art Faculty Biennial.
The faculty currently lined up to exhibit their works are Christopher Bates, Brian Scott Campbell, Stephanie Dotson, William Durham, Elizabeth Folk, Nathan Hayden, Ed Inks, Laura Krifha, Thomas Larson, Michelle Onstot, Rafael Perea de la Cabada, Christopher Ulive, Barbara Vilander and Stephanie Washburn. This gallery will be Campbell and Ulive’s first showing in Santa Barbara.
Don’t miss this chance to see the work of the masters behind the students. August 31′s opening will include an opening reception, with the Atkinson’s Gallery’s new director Sarah Cunningham in attendance. While the Humanities Building is being renovated, Atkinson Gallery will be located on the West Campus in WC301, near the SBCC Garvin Theatre.
