Montecito’s Peregrine Gallery will celebrate 28 years of business on Friday, June 15 with a very special event. Bambi Deville Engeran, author of World War II Bakelite Jewelry: Love and Victory, will be on hand to sign books and take part in a highly anticipated anniversary exhibition of a rare collection of Bakelite items.
Marlene Vitanza, owner of Peregrine Gallery, is considered to be an expert on Bakelite, having lectured and had her collections featured in shows across the United States. She is known in the business for having a discerning eye and knowledge of what makes a pristine and interesting collection for a novice consumer. Peregrine Gallery specializes in vintage Chanel, Miriam Haskell, vintage Taxco silver jewelry, American art and, of course, Bakelite.
Come enjoy this fun, free event–including music, refreshments, and special drawings–at Peregrine Gallery, 1133 Coast Village Rd., Montecito, on Friday, June 15, from noon to 6 p.m. Ten percent of all sales that day will be donated to Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation.
