In celebration of the LGBT community, celebrity guests and locals merrily partied the night away at Santa Barbara Pacific Pride Foundation’s extravagant Royal Ball on May 19. At the event more than 450 attendees were lavished with cocktails, shirtless servers doling out scrumptious appetizers, Cirque du Soleil performers and music by club DJ Derek Monteiro.
The ball, which took place at Four Seasons Biltmore in Montecito, featured additional entertainment from The Voice’s sensational vocalist Frenchie Davis, soul artist Tina Schleiske and renowned Flamenco dancer Timo Nunez. Honorary co-chairs for PPF’s Royal Ball included adored actor Neil Patrick Harris, professional chef Cat Cora and acclaimed actor and chef David Burtka.
Designed to enhance a sense of community among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight supporters, the ball also provides an opportunity for Pacific Pride Foundation to raise funds to continue its invaluable work with LGBT individuals in Santa Barbara County. For 35 years, PPF has been the only central coast-based organization devoted to aassisting locals with LGBT counseling services, HIV and AIDS services, assistance for questioning youth and sensitivity training for law enforcement.
