Come see the 4th of July Parade and concert and celebrate America. The parade starts at 1 p.m. at Micheltorena Street and makes its way down State Street and ends at Cota Street.
Then at 4 p.m. come to the annual Independence Day Concert, proudly presented by Spirit of ’76 and Santa Barbara Music Events. This free event is open to the public and takes place at the Sunken Gardens behind the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Bring your picnic basket and blanket, and enjoy your dinner while listening to great music. The event director and coordinator for this year’s concert is pianist Bryan Tari who played at the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
“We are very excited to have Bryan Tari directing the concert this year,” says Paul Lamberton of Spirit of ’76. “He is a highly respected Santa Barbara artist who will help make this beloved annual event more memorable than ever.”
The concert will also feature local musicians, including musicians from The Music Academy of the West. Don’t miss this amazing day of festivities!
