Get ready for the revival of the Bouillabaisse Festival benefiting Hospice of Santa Barbara. August 26 from 1–4 p.m. join the 13th annual afternoon of sunshine, wine, music and fabulous bouillabaisse.
At the Brander Vineyard in Santa Ynez see the variations of the recipe take the stage at this fun competition featuring some of the Central Coast’s finest chefs. A few of the 15 restaurants participating include: 71 Palm, Birnam Wood, Blush, Ca’Dario, Pane e Vino, Rosa’s Ristorante, Valley Club of Montecito and the Ballard Inn Restaurant.
Wineries that are pouring include: Alma Rosa, Beckmen, Buttonwood, Casa Dumetz, Jaffurs, Longoria, Kaena and, of course, The Brander Vineyard. The marvelous judges include: Philippe Sautot, acclaimed restaurateur; Arthur Von Wiesenberger, Co-Publisher of Santa Barbara News-Press; Krista Harris, Publisher of Edible Santa Barbara; and Leonard Schwartz, Executive Chef and Manager of Lucky’s. All of the proceeds go to Hospice of Santa Barbara, an organization that provides free professional counseling and care management services to over 500 people each month.
