Celebrate a day featuring an artwork competition, both silent and live auctions, food and great entertainment! On Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, this exciting event features artwork by 25 nationally recognized artists.
The public is welcome to join the preview wine and dessert reception with music by Jerry Coelho on Aug. 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church. Introduction of artists start at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the flagpole at Lavinia Campbell Park.
The impressive list of artists include Vicki Andersen, Betty Carr, Howard Carr, Ken Christensen, Camille Dellar, Lorna Dillon, Kelly Donovan, Jim Farnum, Mark Greenaway, Ron Guthrie, Suzan Hamilton-Todd, Gary Johnson, Sheryl Knight, Lee Kromschroeder, George Lockwood, Joe Mancuso, Joe Milazzo, Vel Miller, John Modesitt, Linda Mutti, Richard Myer, Richard Rice, Ray Sevilla, Marilyn Simandle and BJ Stapen.The Quick Draw competition begins at 11 a.m. Each artist is given 60 minutes to complete their project in their respective medium, and submit their finished piece to the auction arena in the park. Then at 12:15 p.m. Jim Glines leads the Live Auction.
The Silent Auction is held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall featuring a wonderful selection of items. Watch artists as they produce their beautiful artwork, and be sure to stop by the Rotary food booth and purchase a tasty lunch from their barbecue selection.
