This summer, Les Marchands Restaurant and Wine Shop introduces their new monthly Passport Series, an opportunity for guests to experience the beauty of new cultures through the sense of taste.
The month of July will feature the exquisite region of Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Known for their pristine, sparkling beaches that overflow with white sand, Sardinian cuisine shines a spotlight on the finest seafood, agriculture, and farming dishes the Mediterranean has to offer. Le Marchands will feature specialty dishes paired with local wines, among them: a house-made spaghetti with Santa Barbara uni with Bottarga, chile flakes, and lemon parsley paired with a Cagnulari, Isola dei Nuraghi, Giovani Chessa, 2015 Sardinia and a 24-hour lamb shoulder with braised artichokes, red wine Jus & Fregola paired with a Grenache Rosé, Isola dei Nuraghi, Argiolas, Serra Loria Rosato, 2017.
Awarded the “Wine Bar of the Year” by Imbibe, and one of the 21 Best Wine Bars in the country by Thrillist, Les Marchands is a European-styled restaurant serving New American style dishes and appetizers while also running a wine retail shop led by a world-class team of certified sommeliers. Chef Weston Richards’ culinary expertise stems from a culmination of experiences at the Sage & Onion, Wine Cask, Intermezzo, and Spare Parts. His culinary background combined with the prowess of sommelier, Hayden Felice, creates an exquisite menu.
