The Bear and Star celebrates Father’s Day this year with a Backyard BBQ created by Chef John Cox and his team. This smoky event is a family-friendly way to treat dads of all ages. The Bear and Star’s Back Garden hosts the casual and social picnic where fathers can relax with a complimentary cold beer and play a game of cornhole on the patio with their kids.
The Bear and Star is known for its tasty ranch to table cuisine and this Father’s Day BBQ is no exception. They are offering Deviled Ranch Eggs as a starter while hungry dads and families await the tender meats hot off the Texas smoker and grill. Served from the carving station and Big Green Egg, guests receive a full BBQ plate of smoked Parker Ranch beef, chicken and ribs. A variety of sides including fresh BBQ Beans, Summer Pasta Salad, Garden Slaw and Parker House Rolls, along with Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert are included in the BBQ meal.
À la carte drinks of canned beer, sodas and bottled water are available for purchase from the Backyard Bar. There is also an indoor full-service bar. Father’s Day Backyard BBQ is served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. No reservations are required for this event and seating is unreserved at picnic tables, so be sure to arrive in a timely manner to get a spot.
For other Father’s Day options, The Bear and Star offers their full breakfast and dinner menus. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m, and dinner is from 5 p.m. until closing. To make a reservation for breakfast or dinner, call 805/686-1359 or visit OpenTable.com
