Tapia is known for his wide range of musical styles from romantic ballads to controversial corridos. His fast-paced, high-energy songs have gained him a loyal following among fans. This is not the first time Tapia has performed at Chumash Casino Resort. Nearly five years ago, he played his greatest hits to a sold-out crowd; he has since released new two albums and toured throughout North America.
Originally from San Diego, Tapia moved to Sinaloa, Mexico, as a child and at age 11 enrolled in Difocur, a prestigious music school. Just a few years later, he began performing in dance halls and receptions for crowd experience. At a young age of 17, Tapia made his professional debut in Tijuana, Mexico, and shortly after began gathering musicians for his first album. In August 2002, Tapia released his album which mixed Latin rhythms with hints of hip-hop and electronica. Over the years, Tapia’s popularity has grown throughout tours in Mexico, the United States, and Latin America. His music can be found online and on popular streaming services.
