UCSB Arts & Lectures presents the Santa Barbara debut of acclaimed New York theater company Bedlam, performing Saint Joan & Hamlet as you’ve never seen them before, on Thursday, April 19 & Fri., April 20, at 7 p.m. at UCSB Campbell Hall.

Bedlam’s adrenaline-fueled performances bring the iconic figures of St. Joan and Hamlet vividly to life in two riveting, unexpectedly funny, stripped-down stagings, with four actors playing 49 characters. The New York Times raves, “They give us Shakespeare and Shaw with the enthusiasm of youth… As far as I was concerned, the warmth and effervescence of what I had just witnessed had turned winter into springtime.” Don’t miss this darling of NYC’s theater scene making its Santa Barbara debut over two transformative evenings! See these works as never before, reinvigorated by the New York-based troupe’s flexible, raw space that brings viewers in direct contact with the dangers and delicacies of life. Limited onstage seating is available.

For tickets and more information, including onstage seating options available both nights, call UCSB Arts & Lectures at 805/893-3535 or visit www.ArtsAndLectures.UCSB.edu.
