Animals is a retrospective of large oil paintings, as well as assorted new small prints and drawings. “I paint animals, because animals (except humans) do not organize together to try to control the entire planet. Humans in general are relentless, focused, and always creating and moving towards goals. Other animals are less concerned with conquering the world and more interested in being safe, fed, and in the present. Animals are like old fashioned humans.” says Nack, “I’m excited to have a show at the Art From Scrap Gallery, because it’s got great light and good walls.”
With encouragement from his artist father, Ken Nack, Brad Nack has been making art since he was a youth. Since the late 1970s, he has been selling art through personal consultations, galleries, and word-of-mouth in various places, including North America, Australia, and Europe. Currently, he creates museum-quality contemporary oil paintings for collectors, individuals, and institutions out of his studio in Santa Barbara.
