Visitors from near and far are invited to experience the 26th annual Taste of Solvang. Food and wine events offer delicious and savory flavors from Wednesday, March 14, through Sunday, March 18. Enjoy locally grown foods, iconic sweets and award-winning wines, beers and spirits. Discover the rich cultural and culinary heritage of the area with featured Solvang area chefs, bakers, farmers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and artisans. Everyone’s favorite events, the Friday evening Sip + Savor, Saturday’s Tasting Trail, as well as the weekend’s Wine & Beer Walk, are joined by two, new Taste of Solvang exclusive events — the Farmers’ Market Dinner and the Danish Sunday Brunch.
Here’s the line-up of events:
Wednesday, March 14, 4-7 p.m.
Taste of Solvang: Farmers’ Market Dinner—note location change
Experience this new, family friendly farm-to-table event during the weekly Farmers’ Market featuring truly fresh ingredients prepared by Chef David Cecchini of Cecco Ristorante and Mathew Raab of Fresco Valley Café. Savor hearty seasonal stew, small bites, and dine on Cecco Ristorante’s covered patio and courtyard tents (instead of Solvang Park due to a potential rain forecast). Come any time to enjoy the festivities plus the sounds of the Bryan Titus Trio. Since the event is on Cecco’s private property, BYOB wine & beer are no longer an option, yet will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle. Net proceeds benefit Santa Ynez Valley Veggie Rescue. ($15 adults, $5 children under age 12) Space is limited; reservations are required online at www.solvangusa.com/taste-of-solvang/
Friday, March 16, 7-9 p.m.
Taste of Solvang: Sip + Savor Opening Night at the Solvang Veterans Memorial Hall.
Join 25 Santa Ynez Valley chefs, bakers, caterers, winemakers, and brewers accompanied by live music from the Sean Wiggins Band. Early VIP entry is available at 6:30 p.m. for those with the Passport Weekend package.
Saturday, March 17, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
