A special benefit concert for Arts Outreach is taking place Sunday, February 25 in Los Olivos. Hosted by St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, the concert features renowned pianist Francesco Attesti and organist Matteo Galli. Come see the musicians return from their international tour with a performance of works by Bach, Brahms, Ravel and Wagner.
Francesco Attesti is an Italian pianist from Cortona. He has won various international piano competitions and performed with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague. Attesti performs internationally at prestigious venues such as Philharmonia Hall of Saint Petersburg, Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, Mozarteum of Salzburg, Cambridge University and Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan.
Matteo Galli is the artistic supervisor and chief organist at the St. Maria presso St. Satiro Basilica in Milan. He received his diploma in organ and composition at the “G. Nicolini” Conservatoire of Piacenza and attended several specialization courses at the Cathedral of Cremona along with the Conservatoire of Toulouse and at the Academie d’orgue of Porrentruj.
The musicians’ performance will benefit Arts Outreach—a nonprofit program which provides education and experiences in the visual, literary, performing, and musical arts to the community. Arts Outreach specifically focuses on providing opportunities for students in the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos and Lompoc schools.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see Attesti and Galli perform at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church (2901 Nojoqui Ave.), Sunday, February 25 at 3 p.m. in downtown Los Olivos. Tickets are available for purchase at www.artsoutreach.com, or by phone at 805/688-9533.
