Tamales—tasty packages of meats, cheese, or vegetables all wrapped in a corn-based shell—have been a Christmas-time favorite for centuries. On Saturday, November 18 from noon to 1:30 p.m., join a local favorite, Chef Richard Lambert, as he teaches the techniques he uses to make his award-winning tamales and salsa!
Chef Lambert will serve each participant a variety of tamale samples and also teach them how to recreate each flavor at home. This 90-minute class will also provide recipes, a listing of ingredient sources, guidelines for tamale reheating and storage and a FREE cookbook which includes Lambert’s personal anecdotes gathered throughout his lifetime.
Join Chef Lambert in the classroom next to the Maritime Museum at the breakwater (125 Harbor Way) and learn how to make mouthwatering tamales for the upcoming holidays!
