If you’re looking for a laugh, we know just the thing! UCSB Arts and Lectures is presenting An Evening with Samantha Bee, with late night queen of political satire!

November 9 at 8 p.m. at the Arlington Theatre (1317 State St.), groundbreaking comedian Samantha Bee—Emmy Award-nominated host of Full Frontal and former correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart—is featured in a whip-smart moderated conversation with award-winning local journalist Starshine Roshell

As the first woman to host her own satirical news show, Samantha Bee has changed the tone of late-night television with her bare-knuckle delivery.

Bee cut her teeth as the longest-serving correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and for 12 years she stood out as one of the program’s few female correspondents.

Rolling Stone has called her “the fiercest, funniest host on TV,” walking a line between outrage and hilarity.
